I started to watch this drama 2 days ago... and it's just a WONDERFUL DRAMA.
Cast, story, making of this drama are just excellent.
Plus, I cherish this story since it reminds me 1st time I went to Japan: When I went to visit Tokyo Tower, I stopped in front of a statue representing a pack of dogs.

A man (that kind of guy who's there to give tourists a tour) approached me and offered to tell me the story of those dogs, if I had time to spare to listen to him. I listened carefully to this wonderful and so moving story: in the late 50's, an expedition to Antartica had to abandon their sled dogs due to bad weather, they had to force their way back to Japan. More than 1 year later, when the next expedition managed to reach Anartica coasts again, with no hope for the dogs, they discovered 2 of them had survived! (ok, that's the very short version of what that man told me)
The statue comemores those dogs.
Here is theme song of the drama:

I've yet watched that drama yet. its going on my list :Db

at the moment I'm watching the japanese movie, Rainbow Song.
I didn't know until after watching the movie that it was the same director of Okada's movie: Otonari.
^^

~but that song is a very meaningful song. I read the translations from arama :Db

is that the one with Juri? I remember watching it and dislike it, maybe because the subs in insync and I lost the meaning they try to convey. But I like Kimi ni Todoke, from the same director.

You should try Hatsu-Koi if you haven't it's Miyazaki Aoi and Koide Keisuke. Or Waiting in the Dark with Tanaka Rena.

Oh yeah! Kimi ni Todoke was a nice movie too xD And I didn't know it was from the same director!

Rainbow song was a tear jerker as well. ;_;

Wow. this director is AWESOME xD makes us cry with every movie he makes.

I've yet watched hatsu koi! another one to go on my list :Db
And Tanaka Rena is one of my favorite actresses :D She was awesome in My Sassy Girl with SMAP's Tsuyoshi~ (another drama that's a tear jerker at times, but mostly funny xD

if you are looking for more tear jerkers, watch live-action Toki wo Kakeru shoujo with Naka Risa (another one of my fav actresses).

What I like about Hatsu Koi and Waiting in the Dark is because I have no idea about the story, and the title mislead the story for me, totally enjoy the surprises.

I saw Toki wa Kakeru, I have to say I love the 2nd movie which is the anime better than this one.

I like both versions. :D I'm indecisive... because naka risa is in both of them as the main character. xD I like the beginning of the anime and the end of the live action movie :Db

O just read the synopsis of waiting in the dark. Its sounds interesting!
*watches now*

I'll tell you what I think about it when I'm done xD
(it feels as if I'm borrowing a book from you! lol)

I just watched episode 1 yesterday. some scenes a bit cliche for me, but I really like the spirit of the drama. Kimutaku suits this role better than just another love story drama. Too bad Sakai's character is a bit antagonist :( I was rooted for him >.<

Yep, some scenes are a little bit cliche (but I love them whatsoever)

I really love all characters and how they play them.
KimuTaku is wonderful...but I also like other actors like Okada Yoshinori (remember Ucchie in Kisarazu Cat's Eyes?), Terajima, Yoshizawa.....

I'm sure I'll cry a lot, but I already love this drama.

About Kimura not playing in a love story, have you ever watched Karei Naru Ichizoku ? I recommend this drama too ^^

that's one of Kimutaku series that I can finished. I got depressed watching the sickening family, especially his dad, and when I jump to the ending (I know very bad) I decide not going to continue it. Sorakara was already shocking for me, Karei Naru is even worse, although I manage to finish Sorakara because the shocking part was at the last episode.

Karei Naru story was really hard and sad. But actors skills really showed in this drama. That's why I liked watching it. (I cried a mot...but I cry quite easily when, I watch something sad or moving ~~~~~)

Sorakara made me cry a lot too ^^
