Hi!
I'd like to have some help/feedback about amazon.co.jp, if any of you already ordered from them
1 - Do they ship to Europe?
2 - Shipping fees? (how much per order/per things you order).
3 - Have you been satisfied by them?
4 - Mean of payment? (Paypal? Credit card?....)
I'm not sure I translated well their pages, so I'd rather ask before ordering badly XD

So far, I order via yesasia (no shipping fees) but they are quite slow ~~

Thank you for your help!

Hi Eska

I never use amazon.co.jp but I used Yesasia before. They give free delivery but very slow.
I'm using hmv.co.jp and very happy with the service. They give you discounts for the item and charge for shipping but I got them very quick! Last year I received on the same week, this time I receive one day later than the release date. I think they charge me 1500yen for delivery which I found quite reasonable, considering the time frame of the delivery. The shipping fee seems to be the same for either for 1 or 2 item. you can use paypal or credit card with HMV.

sorry if I'm not answering your question :D but I highly recommended using HMV.co.jp they're awesome!

Thank you!
I'll check this one too ^^
It's always long when you live on the other part of the world XD
So far, yesasia is not too bad...just very slow this time 'cause they no longer have RE in stock ~~. And cdjapan is far too expensive (shipping is very expensive)
Thank you for your help

Merci ^^

Shipping & Handling: EUR 30,77
Order Total: EUR 79,52

I usually use HMV Japan as they have quite good discounts and is usually cheaper than Yesasia even after adding the shipping. They use EMS, so it's fast and you can track the parcel too. I tried Amazon Japan for the SHB DVDs as they give better discounts than HMV. Their shipping rates are fixed so it might be cheaper to order from them if the items are heavy. Amazon use DHL for their international shipping. My DVDs reached me within 1 day. :)

Thank you for your help.
Amazon Japan gives some discount and shipping fare is fixed. That's why I looked at this site too.

[livejournal.com profile] eeyore_kun also recommended HMV. Their shipping fare are not fixed, and even with discount, I'm not sure about shipping price for Europe (it's about the same with cdjapan).

So far, yesasia wasn't that bad, but when I ordered there, I didn't realize they didn't have it in stock, so I have to wait an extra 15 days ~~~~

You can try comparing everything by going through all the process of ordering except the last step that commit you to buy.

I like amazon.jp and have bought a lot from them. They are the fastest and when you order stuff that already came out along with pre-order stuff, they normally group things and ship without having to wait for everything to come out, unless the available dates are close to each other. And that without extra charge. Their shipping fee looks expensive but when you buy many pieces at the same time, they save the most. They charge you by piece.

HMV ship via EMS which charges you according to the weight of the stuff. I used to buy one heavy photo book that the shipping charge alone was ¥s 2700.

based on what o understand amazon jp is a really safe website for u to shop for products.

have been buying from there for quite some time.

I dont think they ship directly to europe.

you will need a forwarding service to forward it to europe (can use cheaper alternative regisitered air mail like sal )

most agencies always use default EMS which is rather pricey for intl shipping
